New: Import details directly into Revit
Currently, in order to reuse a detail in Revit from Artifact, the process entails downloading the rvt file followed by importing or copying/pasting items to the intended Revit project. While this workflow aligns with the preferences of many firms, we have also been attentive to feedback from customers who express a desire to directly import rvt details into Revit.
We are excited to announce Artifact's latest optional feature: the RVT import functionality. With this innovation at your disposal, the procedure is streamlined. You will now have access to a user-friendly "Push to Cloud" button specifically designed for views of the supporting types, as exemplified below.
In Revit, all the details you've pushed to the cloud can be effortlessly imported to your current project with just a single click via the Artifact Add-in.
New: Navigate through all sheets of a project in Artifact (Preview)
In response to customer requests for a more intuitive method of seamlessly navigating through all drawing sheets within a project, we have introduced an enhanced solution. Currently in Artifact, achieving this goal involves combining project filters and View type filters. However, this approach aligns more with searching instead of navigating.
In light of these considerations, we are excited to announce the beta launch of our latest feature: the Project Viewer. This tool is designed to provide an effortless and user-friendly way to navigate through project drawing sheets.
Simply hover over the sheet number or project name on the view detail page, and you will see the tooltip "open in Project Viewer."
By clicking "open in Project Viewer," you will be directed to the Project Viewer with the current sheet opened
If you want to explore this advancement and participate in its beta testing phase, we encourage you to get in touch with us. Your feedback will play a pivotal role in refining and perfecting the Project Viewer feature.
New: Easy access to all views with RVT download
Recognizing that not all views on Artifact offer the option for rvt downloads, primarily due to varying view types and scales, users wanting to reuse Revit details frequently encounter the need to limit their search to views that do provide the rvt download capability. To address this challenge, we are pleased to introduce the "Revit" filter — a solution tailored to this specific requirement.
This addition not only simplifies the process of narrowing down views with the rvt download option, but it also serves as an intuitive tool for grasping the compatible Revit versions associated with each view. We believe this enhancement will enhance your Artifact experience by providing a more efficient and user-friendly approach to accessing the necessary content.
New: Search with common abbreviations
We understand that abbreviations are often used in the drawings. We are excited to introduce the incorporation of synonyms for frequently used abbreviations. Now, when inputting "gyp" as the search query, you will receive identical results as if you had opted for the full term "gypsum." The reverse is also true, creating a bidirectional correlation, as depicted below. This refinement is to make your search experience more intuitive and user-friendly.
Please reach out if you want to have this feature and we will enable it for your team.
New: Harevest a specific print set (enhanced harvester with more flexibility)
We are continuously enhancing the flexibility of the harvester to effectively address the diverse data acquisition requirements of our valued customers on Artifact. Building upon the existing array of harvester configurations, we are excited to introduce an advanced feature: the ability for Admins to incorporate supplementary properties into their harvesting endeavors.
An illustrative example of this newfound capability involves the harvesting of specific print sets. By directly inputting the print set name from Revit into the designated PrintSet field, this functionality empowers users to streamline their data collection. Notably, this newfound flexibility extends beyond this use case, accommodating customized requests across an array of unique properties.
We invite you to engage with us regarding any use cases that might be percolating in your mind. Your insights will play an integral role in fine-tuning our harvester to align with your distinct requirements, further enriching your experience on the Artifact platform.
